We are committed to follow Jesus Christ as King and Lord and to honor the Holy Trinity. We seek to provide opportunities to hear the Word of God in teaching, preaching, and through meaningful times of worship, occasions for fellowship, prayer, outreach, and many ministries for children and adults. We are committed to bring others to know the love and power of Jesus' love.
We are part of worldwide Anglicanism, the third largest group of Christians throughout the world. The Reformed Episcopal (RE) Church has a 135 year history committed to reshape, reform, renew and reclaim the Anglicanism of biblical, orthodox Christianity that is firmly rooted in the historic faith and in the ancient formularies. Toward the unity of Anglicanism, the RE Church has entered into a Covenant Union with the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), intercommunion with the Anglican Province of America, and participation in the Federation of Anglican Churches in the Americas (various Anglican jurisdictions) and Anglicanisms' new ecclessial structure emerging from the 10 jurisdictions and organizations of the Common Cause Partnership (CCP). The RE Church is committed to responding to Christ's call for his Church to be one.
We welcome all people. God knows our struggles and victories that have brought us here today. It is today, our present time, where we ask God to touch our lives, that our future might be one with God for eternity. Today is where we all must begin, no matter our past. If you're starting for the first time, continuing on in your walk with God, or returning after a time away, we want to challenge you to grow in your relationship with God. We should desire for a deeper, fuller, and more dynamic relationship with God. We need to build a strong spiritual life build upon the sure foundation of Christ and centuries of Christian faith and practice. The RE Church embodies sure foundation with the richness of Scripture, Sacrament, and Spirit.
At this website, you will find resources and information, but Anglican spirituality is one that is experienced in Common worship in our local congregations. While you may read the prayers from the Book of Common Prayer, the real mystery of worship is present when "two or three are gathered together" to offer their praise to God in keeping with liturgy of Church prayed from generation to generation.
We encourage you to seek the Truth as "the Truth shall set you free." We invite your questions and presence in our midst. All of our gatherings are open to all who are wanting to draw closer to God.
It's about entering into the presence of God. Our desire is for you to experience being touched by God in a tangible way. Our message, our music, and our folk are all part of an atmosphere where we meet God in true worship using ancient liturgies of the Church. This is not entertainment. The symbols, language, and even our standing, sitting, and kneeling all give shape to the mystery of God making Himself present with us. We know your first time at church, any church, will bring up questions. Here are some FAQ.
Why can't "you" Christians all get together? Don't you believe that Jesus is God's only Son and our Savior? The Diocese of the West and the Reformed Episcopal Church are integrally working and cooperating with Anglicans in the CCP and with Anglican churches throughout the world as historic Anglicanism holds to that which has been believed everywhere, always, and by all. And those beliefs come from the Bible, not as a peculiar individual reading but one that is commonly agreed upon by all Christians through the ages.
Unfortunately, Jesus' words "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life...no one comes to the Father but by me" has yet to enter fully in to our hearts. But the CCP is working to make being one in Christ a reality on the local level. We are the ones needing to conform ourselves to God, so in obedience we actively seek to live out that oneness found in Jesus.
